Victims of Comics
A four-panel pixel-art comic styled like an old video game. Panel 1: in a stable at dawn, a white newborn foal lies in the straw beneath a blank nameplate. A text box reads "Behold! A legend is born!" Panel 2: at sunset, the foal's chestnut mother lowers her head to touch noses with it, a tiny heart in the sun between them. "MARE: I cannot name you..." Panel 3: at dusk, light falls through a break in the clouds onto the two horses. "MARE: Only the gods can." Panel 4: the foal stares straight out at the viewer, the light behind his head. Below him, a name entry box: HORSECUN, with the ninth slot empty and highlighted in yellow between two arrows.

A name for the ages.

Psst. Pick me up.OK. Put me back.
The same screen as panel 4: the white foal stares out at dusk, the light behind his head. The name entry is gone; a text box reads "That name is already taken."
He would have grown into it.
